Before Mamdani’s rise as the latest lead antagonist in the conservative media ecosystem, there were others. But one figure has held the title longer than anyone. When it comes to enduring villains on the radios, TVs, and screens of the right, there is one undisputed GOAT: Nancy Pelosi.
The San Francisco liberal is universally recognized among Republicans and is universally disliked (Trump had thoughts today). She has been a fixture of conservative media since the era of Rush Limbaugh, the Drudge Report, and the early days of FOX News. For decades, Republicans have relied on the wealthy congresswoman’s images and policies to tie Democrats to an out-of-touch, coastal-elite brand. Today, the MVP of conservative boogeymen announced her retirement.
