I wrote recently how figures like Kamala Harris and Jon Ossoff fail the āJoe Rogan test.ā Today, one of the testās highest scorers, Vice President J.D. Vance, is in Austin recording his second appearance on the show.
While Vance handled traditional book tour stops like FOX News and The View with ease, his new media blitz is what truly stood out. His recent circuit included The Diary of A CEO, Megyn Kelly, Allie Beth Stuckey, Michael Knowles, Mike Rowe, Ross Douthat, and Sean Hannityās new show.
This is familiar territory for Vance, who leaned heavily into podcasts during the 2024 campaign. One of the more memorable and head-scratching moments was when Theo Von asked Vance whether 19th-century abolitionist Frederick Douglass was gay.
